Jessica Herlitz is a Director, Producer, Cinematographer, and Editor based in LA. She graduated from Northwestern University studying Biology and Radio, Television, Film (RTVF). 

 

She has directed, produced, and edited over 10 of her own short films that have been submitted to various film festivals notably winning Best Student Thriller Short at IndieX for Family Business and 1st Place Winner at Pegasus Film festival for Water Birth. 

 

She also co-directed, produced, and edited the feature film Burn the Boats.

 

Most recently, she directed, produced, and edited Shedding, her senior thesis film at Northwestern, which is a coming-of-age comedy about queer longing, shaggy haircuts, and the magic of new beginnings.
